Having an issue upgrading to 7.1.1. I exported my jobs before installing, had an issue doing an upgrade directly as is, so I had to remove the existing version of VisualCron completely. Fresh install, imported all settings, upon completion, no errors noted, no jobs listed, and my login credentials were not working, thus I removed the credentials and still no issue's.

Anyone else had this issue, how to get around it?

Luckily I installed 6.1.8 and imported my settings with no issue's.

If no login Credentials worked it sounds like you have installed in another directory than before. It does not seem possible that both jobs.xml and networkcredentials.xml were destroyed or similar during upgrade.

Even still, I re-installed fresh again, imported everything but the credentials, and no jobs. I checked on the jobs.xml file size, and it was like a couple KB instead of what it should be of 300+ KB in size. Magically cleared itself.

Is the log file saying anything after you install?

After attempting again, a simple install over the existing, which is what I have normally done. I found the following failures in the log.

1/29/2014 2:27:24 PM Debug Credential provider->Credential provider failed: Could not found registry value (1)

1/29/2014 2:28:00 PM Info Recovery failed for: Jobs

No matter what I do, I cannot get the jobs to load in this new version...

Ok, can you send the export so maybe we can recover it for you (and see what is wrong). Please send it to support@visualcron.com

FYI, I reinstalled 6.1.8 again fresh, and only received the following message in my logs, the jobs loaded just fine.

Debug Credential provider->Credential provider failed: Could not found registry value (1)

thanks.

Ok, that error should not affect anything here.

Unfortunately I cannot supply the export file, for security reasons. I did install on my local PC 7.1.1, and the jobs did not import there either. I got the below error message, will look through the .xml file to see if anything is invalid, but it should be valid if VisualCron generated it.

Err Error loading jobfile: Illegal characters in path.

Is is possible to just send us the jobs.xml file? You can leave out any security details but most details are stored in Credentials and Connections anyway.

The problem is transferring some kind of setting and without knowing which one we are completely in the dark here.

Okay, is there a way I can get you the file directly?

Either send it to support@visualcron.com or add us on Skype, user VisualCron, and send it there. Thanks

Please install this version. Only fix from original 7.1.1. is your fix:

http://neteject.com/down...on/VisualCron7.1.1-3.exe

Then import again or just install on top over version 6.

This seems to have worked, thanks. Was it an issue with my jobs or VisualCron itself?

The problem was porting old settings in FTP Task. The error occured when using Variables in the file path. I think it was the Rename command. Thank you for the report!
