VisualCron v4

Randomly we have issues where a .bat file does not complete all the work but displays Successful as output. If we run the .bat file manually it works just fine. We've checked the folder permissions and all are set to FULL AUTHORITY so not sure why this is happening. Specific logic such as forfiles exe, where we delete files over X days old.

Are you trying to access a network share in the "for files"?

No, just a local drive. Typically if we do try to access a network drive we provide the entire path to that drive. It's pretty straightforward, we use the CD command to go to the directory we want to work in, then use forfiles exe command to remove files found with a specific mask (e.g. *.csv) and delete them if they are over 62 days old. It's a random thing, things will work fine for a period of tiem then all of a sudden the .bat file is not removing anything. Could it be that the permissions on the folders are somehow getting updated when new files are created?

Hi,

I have a similar issue as this. I'm quite new to using VC but i having an issue that keeps telling me that "the system cannot find the file specified" when i run an execute task. it is a local drive and the credentials are set correctly. this is with a .bat file i just cant seem to get VC to run it.

Have you tried using the full path to the file?
