When logging to eventlog all information is logged as Information.

You should be able to select warning, error, etc. as an option.

Yes, the Notification is somewhat limited. Use the Event log Write Task for more options.

1. I can't find "Event log Write task"
2. It would be really nice if you could set the event type from Notifications so you can use a "Notify on error" to log an error in the eventlog

The Task we mentioned do only exist in beta version (forum) right now.
