To support one of our vendors we have to upload files to a temporary directory and then move them to an inbox. We have been supporting this requirement in VC by using file triggers, but it has not been stable. If there are more than a few hundred files dropped at once then the trigger starts failing.

Ideally we could do this using two tasks (FTP Upload, FTP Move).

Have you checked option "Put job in queue" in the main settings of the Job?

Also, which Variable do you use for the FTP Task?

Yes, but it doesn't seem to matter if thousands of files are dumped in all at once. I ended up having to write a small executable that moves the files over FTP.

We have tested with hundreds of files. As I mentioned, it could be the Variable you use and how you use it.
