I have version 5.6 of visual cron installed and was wondering what supported version of .net framework is supported.

As need to patch with the latest .net framework due to the wonderful microsoft ceasing support for it 3.5 :)

5.6 is using .NET 2.0.

could 5.6 run on the latest version of .net framework or would it be a case of having to upgrade the version of visual cron to enable us to use the latest?

It needs the 2.0 base install. To run the latest and get priority support you need to upgrade your "maintenance", purchase SKU#34 from the order page. This will give you one year of updates and priority support.
