When we restart the server we expect VC to automatically start working once powered up, but it requires user intervention to click through the VC pop-up messages before working again. Is there a way to safely shutdown the application before restarting or preventing those pop-ups from appearing? We have to restart the server due to Windows Server Patching which is a monthly process that happens at night.

What kind of popups? The service is a WIndows service with no user interaction. Maybe you are talking about the VC Tray client?

After a restart we always get these 2 alerts. 1) Visual Cron Client stopped working. 2) VCTray stopped working. VisualCron_Client.png VCTray.png

What if you just restart the VisualCron Service - do you get exact same crash message?

You should check your Windows Event Log for more detailed information about the crash.

This is normal error as the Connection is aborted. I do not think this is a problem. We do not try to auto connect but leave the choice to the end user if he wants to connect again (and displaying the error).

Is there a way to bypass this behavior so when we restart the VC Server it auto starts the application without user intervention?

At the moment no. The VC Tray will auto-connect but the Client will not. I will move this topic to Feature requests.
