Are there any plans to be able to use Amazon S3 as a storage location?

We use VC as a backup tool and would love to be able to integrate it with S3

Cool - I can't imagine moving anything to AWS without VC :-)

The key problem I'm seeing in some of the tools available is that they keep the access and secret keys in clear text in an XML file.

Added to that is the ability for multiple accounts/buckets.

The key one is data storage & transfer.

We want to be able to:

1) run uploads from our office --> S3 --> instances.
2) backups from instances --> S3
3) S3 region --> S3 region transfer
4) access and secret key encryption
5) browse with VC explorer

Basically as if it's a UNC path\drive letter.

Hi Roger,

this is in the works right now. We are also creating an "Explorer" so you can list/delete/upload/download files as well.
