I am trying to use the Desktop Macro task...without much success so far. I have created a forground task, made sure the VCTray is running, provided valid credentials for the foreground task to use etc. but when I click "start recording" I get the error:

"This function requires Administrator priviligies" (typo included)

the user I am logging/logged in as is a local administrator. What am I missing to make this work?

thanks,

How do you start VisualCron, from shortcut or by double clicking on the tray client?

That's a good question. I mostly start the client from shortcut, but have also used the tray client in the past. I *believe* I used the shortcut method for this particular scenario.

But if you try to reproduce it now and look at the task manager you can verify that the user that runs VisualCron is the same admin user?

Can you also try to create a new admin user, logon on that user, try the same again.

I tried both methods of access (from shortcut and system tray) but once I get into the task to record I get the message referenced earlier.

I created another user and put him in the administrator's group. This had the same result (I cannot record the macro).

Can you test running with the UAC off?
