I've got a peculiar little symptom on Windows 2008R2. I've installed client & server and it's working fine. But every time I (or anybody) logs in to the box it seems to run the installer over again. If you close out of it, the client comes up.

The existing install is just fine.

Is this just something stuck in a run at logon registry entry or something?

Please perform these steps:

1. uninstall
2. download
3. copy installation file to desktop
4. run installer as admin (right click and choose Run as administrator)

Does this resolve it?
