Hi Support,

I've got several SSRS tasks setup to run a series of reports, strangely any of the reports that take longer than 100 seconds to execute are failing, this is consistent across all reports that don't complete within 1min 40sec. It would appear that the task has a internal timeout as i cannot see anywhere where this can be modified?

The issue is not related to the timeout on the SSRS side because i have checked this and it is currently set to 30 minutes, nor is it due to a timeout i have set at the task or job level as i don't have any defined.

All of the shorter running reports work as expected, so i know it is definitely not related to an error in the setup because i have proven it does work correctly.

Can you please confirm this behavior is expected...

if so; why a non configurable timeout has been implemented and is there a workaround?

if not; what else might be causing this?

We have altered a timeout value but not sure if it is the right one. Please let us know.

This has resolved the issue, after upgrading to 8.1.2 the longer running reports are now completing successfully.

We have a SSRS report, which is scheduled in VC, and it times out at 100 seconds with [Exception in Task: The operation has timed out].
Changed the timeout for the job for an hour and still does not work.
Changed the timeout for the task and still does not work.
I am using version 8.2.7, any help in resolving would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am also using VC 8.2.7 and I have a timeout issue where a task fails after 4 hours. We've tried setting a time out time longer than four hours. So far the only fix is to break up tasks so they don't take 4 hours. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
