Today I encountered an error in the FTP/SSH/Terminal Explorer.
I had a connection to a ftp site, I waited several minutes and came back to the window. I noticed that the icons on the remote site were all unknown icon types. So the folder icons had the unknown filetype icon.
I closed the explorer and rebuild the connection.
I browsed to a folder and than the error window came up.
The window however freezes so I could not see what kind of error this was.
I had to end the client with the task manager and start over.

There is no logging at all for this tool, so I can't give you more at the moment.

I'm using version 5.5.5

Erik

Hi,

I saw my post from a year ago, you asked me if I could reproduce this.
Sorry for my late response...

I still have issues with the FTP/SSH/Terminal explorer.
Now I test version 6.1.2 (in beta now) but the FTP window still freezes after doing nothing during a connection.

I have a FTPS connection open. Listing is done, I see the line 'File List Complete'.
After waiting some time, the line: 'FTPS commandsent: NOOP' is shouwing up. When I now click the red cross in the top right, the line: 'FTPS commandsent: QUIT' is showing, but nothing happens. The connection stays open (so it looks) and I can work with the client again by ending the vc client in the task manager. The FTP/SSH/Terminal explorer freezes.

I encounter is frequently. My solution to this: Get in, do your stuff and get out soon. So if you need to do much you have to get in, do stuff, get out, get in again, do more stuff and get out again... see the pattern here?

Windows application log:
Hanging application VisualCronClient.exe, version 6.1.2.13135, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Erik

We tried to reproduce this. Wait for the NOOP command and then close. It might be something specific with the server. Is it possible to get temporary access to this server and try this?
