It would be great to have a way to view the console output of a running task. If you use writing to the console as a means of judging what a task is doing, it's useless if you can't actually see until after its completed.

I have same problem. Is there a work around how to show output of a running task.
What about controlling the progress bar i the status column. We have tasks running for hours and like to see status on this.
