Before I am allowed to install the product on a production server, my legal team needs to approve the license and terms and conditions. In the documentation you have a license page which covers a single server license. Is there a separate license and T&C for a site license?

Same terms. Only difference is that you can install VisualCron on unlimited machines within a physical location if you have a Site license.

Thanks Henrik. What happens if a company moves its servers to a new data centre?

As long as all licenses are on one physical location it is ok.

Henrik,

We have our development and QA servers in a different location from our production servers. The DEV and QA servers are on the same ESX server. We need to install VisualCron on one development, one QA and one Production server. We had thought that we might want to install the product on other production servers at a later time after our Server Management team saw the product in action. This may still be the case, but we'll deal with it at that time.

We have already installed the product on DEV and QA. This week we intend to install in Production. However, your not about physical location leads us to believe we should have separate licensing for Production from our DEV and QA license. Clearly we had mistakenly interpreted a "Site" license as an "Enterprise" license which would have allowed us to install the product on any server in our organisation.

If we’re now expected to purchase extra licenses for servers in the data centre, then we’d prefer to convert the current ‘Site’ license we have purchased for $1,497 into a ‘5 Server license’ pack (costing $897) and ‘1 server license’ pack (costing $247). E.g we split our site license into 2.

Under that situation, if we cloned a server to a new one with a different name, would that require a new license?

Regards,
Joan.
