I don't understand how these are supposed to work.

If I leave the credentials blank, I get the trigger is being deactivated due to access denied. Yet, the service is running under and account that is an administrator on the machine.

If I set credentials on the task, I get the trigger is being deactivated because user credentials are not allowed for local connections.

Most probably you need a different user to access that

How would there be a limitation of the administrator? I can login to that machine with those credentials and access those logs.

I mean just create a local administrator on that machine (instead of using AD user). It is really hard for us to say why a certain user on a certain machine does not work in VisualCron. But access denied is access denied - we just return back what we get from the system when calling that specific function.

Please note that we use WMI to access so there may be some security limitations in WMI.

Still does not work, even with a local account. I created a local user and put that user in the Administrators group and I still get the User credentials cannot be used for local connections error.
