Perhaps I have misunderstood your request, but those CTRL key combinations work in the way you have described (see screenshot). Either via keypress or right click context menu as shown.
You can also 'CLONE' the task if you want the entire task copied?

It would be great if keys like Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V worked in Visual Cron. For example in the file path dialogue on the File Copy (see screenshot attached)
