Hi I have a feature request that would help me alot 😁

We have a site license where i work, so we have alot of visualcron installations, at the moment I think about 30, and still rising. And we dont have a good way of monitring if anything goes wrong with a job, except email, which is not

There should be a discovery that discovers all installed visualcron instanses.
a monitor for the visualcron server service.
and a monitor monitor if a jobs fails.

Hi Kurt,

As you can use all tasks for notifictions, you can setup a task to do something when a job fails, e.g. write an entry in a database.
If every VC server writes in that database, you can make a website that reads the database and gives a nice view of all the faild jobs.
You can than use the web app to mark the errors as 'noticed' so they are removed from the view.
The webpage can refresh itself so you see an actual report.

This is just one solution.

Regards
Erik
Uses Visualcron since 2006.

Yes, i already know that :)

it would just be handy with a MP for SCOM, that could do all that out of the box.

That would be very nice.. I'm searching for a solution to monitor VisualCron with SCOM, and for now i didn't find a nice solution out of the box.
Can't wait to get a SCOM MP for VisualCron.🤤

Please list all kinds of information you would like to extract from VisualCron through SCOM.
