The new Microsoft Teams functionality is great! Truly going to make triggering processes and communicating results to our end users so much easier and reliable.
I have found what could be a bug that I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing. I created a Teams Notification so I could post a message to a Team Channel every time a workflow completes. However, I could not get it to correctly utilize the Job/Active/Name variable to post the name of the Job it is running from. Instead it materialized the name of another job from my list of workflows. None of the other Job/Active/{attributes} worked either... like Execution time, Exited, etc.

Glad you like it!

It sounds unlikely that it would reference another Job. What exact Variable do you use? Also, please send a screenshot of using the Variable in the Variables browser.

Employee Lookup Setup.png Resulting Message.png Notification Setup Screen.png Variable Used.png Here are the screenshots. The Notification Screen shows the variables that are being referenced from the Visual Cron Variable inventory.
The message that posted shows a job called BI ETL | _Setup Nightly Teams Message Step 2, however the job I ran was called Employee Lookup.

Could you try to add another On complete Notification but Send Email. Please use the exact same text of Variables. Please let us know if it produces the same result.

Henrik

I have used the email notification for several of my jobs, exact same variables, and it works perfectly. Always uses the attributes of the job running the notification for the variable assignments. So, the email version of notifications does not produce the same results. It produces the correct results.

Sorry, I lost you. What is the difference when it does work and it doesn't?

The variables work when used with EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS.

They do NOT work when used in the TEAMS NOTIFICATIONS.
