Is there a way to use custom FTP commands such as "mv"?

I attempted to use the custom FTP command option but when I used mv, Visualcron reported an error stating "The command type is not available for this connection type". The connection is FTP. I can script using Winscp; however I much prefer to use the features available to me with VisualCron. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
