Hello,

We have an 'issue' after installing VisualCron version 9.9.6 Pro on new environment.

Currently setting up a job with file upload/transfer to Amazon.

Unfortunately instead of what is VC help window providing, we are not seeing the exact tab menu when Adding Connection, for example there are missing two crucial fields: 'Access Key ID' and 'Secret Access Key':

However, the above fields are still available within our previous VC version 9.8.0 Pro that we will migrate from very very soon.

Could you please have a look? Has something changed as for the Amazon connectivity within the newer version of VisualCron?

Thank you very much,
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
It's just a property naming issue which will be fixed in the next version, for now you can consider Username and Password = Access key ID and Secret access key

Hi,

I am facing another problem with connectivity to Amazon.

While on the same server I can make a connection via WinSCP using exact the same logon details, I can not do the same on VisualCron.

I am leaving empty value for Server address, filling correct username/password and adding default bucket.

Unfortunately VisualCron is responding with the below Connection error:

The visible difference is that the WinSCP uses s3.amazonaws.com host name and port: 443 and VisualCron allows to only choose Amazon protocol type from the drop down menu.

I also tried to use s3.amazonaws.com server in VC connection but it does not work.

Thank you,
Marcin

Hi Marcin,

You should also select Region. And what error do you get when you try to connect via the connection explorer under tools?

Hi Michael,

First tested the old version 9.8.0:

I tried to use the region which is visible on the bucket address: eu-west-1, and first connection i tried with Server field left empty, and second log shows Server field populated with: s3.amazonaws.com

After that I tried with 9.9.6:

First connection I tried with Server field empty, second connection with s3.amazonaws.com:

Please keep in mind that 9.8.0 version is on a different server than 9.9.6 version, however WinSCP can connect to Amazon using the same credentials and bucket from both servers.
