Is there anything VC which will extract the attachments from an eml file.

We are recieving emails from a client, which contains an email from where I need to extract the attachments.

When VC, via the email trigger extracts the email, we are left with the eml file.

Thanks

There are multiple third-party tools available on the internet, you just need to find the right solution. This software maintains the original folder structure from EML file and emails metadata like to, cc, bcc, date-time, subject & attachments. I have used the EML Extractor tool when I required the same issue and got an accurate result.

Extracting attachments from .eml files can seem tricky—but it doesn’t have to be. You can parse and extract them using email clients or scripts, and there are tools specifically built for this task. A helpful walkthrough is available in this blog post: “Extract Attachments from EML Files ” on the Cigati Solutions blog. The article provides step-by-step guidance and tool recommendations to safely retrieve all embedded files. If you’re working with large batches of .eml files or need automation, it’s particularly useful—worth checking out if you’re frequently handling email archives.
