My logfiles only seem to show - Task started, Task completed etc.
There is no detail on for example file a was sent from A to B.
Is that possible?

These log files are more meant for debugging and would get really large if we logged every file being transferred. Instead, you can log this yourself with File write or File Notification Tasks by inserting Variables in the output.

My current FTP software does this, and the files don't get very large at all.
What makes the files large is adding task started task completed every 5 mins thoughout the day

The main problem is that we do not know what you want. For example, which columns, which format etc. And you may want to do something else than another user. That is why we want to provide the tools that let you do exactly what you want.

You can however turn on Extended debugging and you will see each file but that will generate a lot of other output as well.

I tried adding the debug option, but just get alot more noise, and still don't get the details I want.

In my opinion, this kind of thing (logging a file has been ftp'd from one place to another) should be standard. Having to add extra writefile task is not great really, but that is just my opinion.

But that is the key, the details that you want, that may differ from user to user. Also, there is also a decision where you want it (where you want to store it).

VisualCron handles internal logging in real time. This would mean that each time a file is transferred that information is sent to the client. This creates a lot of noise in the communication.

I do personally not see why somebody would like to mix VisualCron internal log with transferred files. That is just hard to read and a lot of irrelevant information. And most probably, in the wrong format.

We would of course like more feedback on this matter.

I think you should have a "visualCron internal log" and a job log, with users able to turn on what they want in the log.

It is very importnant for us, as we have 3rd party providers, who currently have access to existing FTP logs, so they can check if a file has arrived. There is no point me giving them access to these, as all they show are the task stated/task completed.
