The e-mail trigger on my server seems to be somewhat inconsistent. It will always work if the check for e-mail is set to 5 seconds. If set to 10 it usually works. If set to anything over 10 seconds it very rarely will trigger the job. Ideas?

Thanks

Turn on extended debugging and you will see more information in the log file what happens. My guess is that some client reads this email between polling in VisualCron which results in that the email is "not new" and nothing is triggered.

this problem still exists. The job logs say no mail found.

I have probably 6 e-mail triggers that check from different jobs every 60 seconds. Even if the subject doesnt match, it is still deleting the e-mail from the account.

I set up a test account visualcron@xxxx.com inside our domain, pop3.

The e-mail shows up in the outlook window i'm watching, then 20 or so seconds later it is deleted. I even typed laksjdfl;skadjfs;adlkj as the subject but it was still deleted by visual cron and no jobs ran. Nothing else is using this e-mail or checking it. I disabled visual cron completely and saw that the e-mail would stay in the inbox, then when i re-enabled all the jobs the e-mails got deleted even if it didn't match and nothing ran

Do you have 6 email triggers on the same account? We only delete email if you have set it so. Try deselecting all triggers but the one you look at.

yes it works if i only have that 1 e-mail trigger for that 1 account. But I have multiple triggers that check 1 account for different e-mail subjects. why would a trigger delete the message if it doesnt apply to that trigger?

How do I get the triggers to read the subject line, and if the subject doesn't match then leave the message where it is for the other triggers to check it?
