Is it possible for the logfiles to be named something other than log_serveryyyymmdd.txt?
Just need it to be logfile.txt.

Just to know what you are trying to accomplish - why do you need another naming?

Our vendor who monitors our services, cannot monitor "dynamic" names (don't ask!)
Therefore we need the logfile to just be a static name.

I thought about just copying the current file and then renaming, but don't seem to get the variable for the date correct.

Something like this:

log_server{DATEFORMAT(yyyy-MM-dd)}.txt

thanks. I not that the MM (as opposed to lowercase) appears to be key to it working.
Once I removed the hypens, so used: log_server{DATEFORMAT(yyyyMMdd)}.txt it worked.
