Is there a way to use a Global Credential in a Connection? We obviously have several global credentials that are used to authenticate to different things in jobs and tasks. But is there a way to use these when creating a Connection? When we need to change the password on one of these accounts, all of the tasks will continue to work. But if I put in the username and password for the service account into a connection, I would need to go in and update each connection. We have over 200 connections that use one of a handful of service accounts, so we would have to go through each and find the ones that use that account.

Or possibly if I could leave the username and password blank and use the credentials that are used for tasks that use that connection.

Hi,

You can use the Object search&replace function:
  image.png (272kb) downloaded 14 time(s).

You search for a value, you will see everywhere it's used, then you can do a mass replace.

Thanks, that is very useful feature and will help with password changes in the future. I'd also still like to be able to use a credential when making connections. And/or I'd think it would be extremely useful to be able to use the credential used in a task for a connection. Is this something that can be done, or would be a feature request. We have a lot of FTP related jobs that connect to the same server but each have to use their own username and password, That would save us from having to make a separate connection for each. And yes, it would be much easier to be able to use the same account, but unfortunately that is out of our control.

That would be a feature request for now.
