Hi,

after upgrading to VC 5.5.3 we are facing ssh authentication errors on all of our ssh jobs.
We are using ssh send command using a stored connection with user and password for ssh.

Getting following error on all tasks:

Authentication failed for type 16
Exception in Task: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Previous version was 5.1.3

Hi Henrik,

after updating the Server to VC 5.5.5 VC service is not starting anymore.
Windows eventlog shows "The VisualCron service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

But all of the log lines are before updating to 5.5.5 - i tried to uninstall and reinstall VC but still VC service is not starting anymore. Also no entries in start log.

Do you have any errors in the event viewer (under Application log).

nothing in event log - no logs in VC dir.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 5.5.3 - and this one is running fine (perhaps still the authentication issue 😉 )

Very strange. Perhaps we can share desktop or similar through Yuuguu or other screen sharing tool. Maybe in the beginning of next week?

For now i will downgrade to our last version to have VC up and running on the weekend. I will give you an update on this on Monday.
