I am getting the following error when trying to uninstall client version 4.9.11 from my workstation:

Error 1001. Unable to get installer types in the C:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\VisualCronService.exe assembly --> Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information

What do I need to do to uninstall?

Thanks!

Donno why, but you may can use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility  to uninstall the software if it continues to fail uninstalling.

Erik
Uses Visualcron since 2006.

We have seen that this error suddenly occurred after a Windows update (not sure which). This error is only concerning older versions.

You can use the cleanup utility but it is important to manually remove the windows service VisualCronService.exe first.

Please follow these steps:

My colleague got the error 1001 when trying to install VC 5.6.0 client on her new laptop (Win XP Pro).

Deinstallation doesn't work (following:

1. Make sure that the VisualCronService.exe is not running. You can stop the service in Control Panel->Administrive tools->Services
2. download installutil.exe to your VisualCron folder (%program files%/VisualCron) from here http://neteject.com/installutil.exe
3. Download and install the Microsoft cleanup utility from here: http://neteject.com/down.../VisualCron/msicuu2.exe
4. open a command prompt. Go to the VisualCron folder
5. write: installutil.exe /u VisualCronService.exe
6. Start Windows Install Cleanup from the start menu. Select the VisualCron installation and click on the Remove button.
7. You can now choose to install again or completely remove the VisualCron folder

After Step 5 the error message comes again.

Sorry, we missed this post. You say error comes after step 5? Did you install Windows Install Cleanup tool?
