Hi,

At job level, there is a task tab so you can see which tasks are in the job.
If I however only open a task, I cant go one level up to see the job information.
This is what I miss.

When I use the object search for example and open a task, I can't see to which job this task belonges to.

So a button in the statusbar to open the job would be nice.

Regards,
Erik

Hi,

Just want this item to get some more attention.

Why? I'm using the search a lot 😁 and when I find the task I'm looking for I can not see to which job it belongs to.

Erik

Hi,

Today I searched for a job and I did know only the file name of the file copy task in this job. So I used the object search and I did find my task here.

To open this task, it's easy: double click the task in the result list.

To open the job containing this task is something else... I have to do the rearch action again in the filter on the main screen with the task name. Problem here is that I have a lot of tasks with the same name... again I have to search for the right job...

Feature request is still a good addition I think: Having a possibility to open the job at task level.

Even if this would mean that we may have to close the Task window first?

Yes this is correct. Now it's also not possible to have two windows open at the same time.
If there is a button in the feature, it should close the task window. (and give the user a warning for loosing any changes)

Just some thinking here:

You might want to show the job window with the task tab selected and the task selected in where you clicked the button 😊

Hi,

Old topic, still want it though.

One other idea is to have a context menu clicking in the search result grid on a task to open the corresponding job.

Second that. I have requested something similar I think. As you say, when we search in Object search and double click the task, I have no Idea which job it belongs to. At the very least, the name of the job could be displayed in the task somewhere. I can find it by going to variable, active job, and then jobname, but that is cumbersome.
