I've been testing out the product and I'm excited about the possibilities it offers. It seems to be a perfect fit for our business.

I'm having an issue though - I've created a basic HTTP GET request that always failed with "Error setting proxy settings: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Interestingly, there is not a proxy server set for this at all. I've checked all the settings down to the basic internet settings on the system looking for a proxy server and cannot find one set. I've also checked out the VisualCron settings and see where you can set a proxy, but it is currently set to No Proxy.

This is a clean install of Server 2003 with nothing else on the machine except for IIS.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dustin

Also, I've created several basic GET requests and get the same result each time...

If you go to Server->Settings->Proxy - what settings to you have here? Please try selecting "No proxy".

No Proxy is what is selected...

I've tried changing and setting a proxy and then reverting back to "No Proxy" as well

Same results.

Ok, we will make a small change and send that special version to your email. You will probably have a link within an hour.

Not trying to rush, but I did not get an email... I checked spam as well.

Let me know when it sends and I'll test ASAP.

Thanks!

Ok, I uninstalled and installed this version. It appears to fix the problem. I've performed several tests now.

Thank you for the quick response!

Hi,

I am also having the same problem which was fixed by this special version of Visual Cron. My question is, what is different about this other version, and what will happen when updates come out. Is this a bug in the current version (4.9.26)?

Yes, it is a bug in the current 4.9.26. What's special about this version (proxy) is that we correct a null reference problem. This problem is also fixed in later versions like 4.9.30 in the beta section. I recommend those instead of this proxy version.
