I'm finding the user interface to be very slow... on startup and in general usage.

This is running on a very fast server.

What can be done about this?

There are a lot of things that can make UI slow.

1. if you are running virtualized in any way, for example in VMWare etc.
2. if the graphics card is slow or with low memory

We suggest that if you experience this then instead install the client on your desktop machine and connect remotely to the Server. This will be better for the UI rendering.

It's definitely not the server, which is incredibly fast:

3.30 gigahertz Intel Xeon E31240
4062 Megabytes Installed Memory
64-bit
Multi-core (4 total)
Hyper-threaded (8 total)

VisualCron is the only program that runs this slowly, taking 15 seconds just to open the UI. All other programs load in under a second.

Hoping future versions will address these performance issues.
