Can we configure Variables at the Task level?

I have some tasks that I would like to configure within a job, but the tasks need to be able to override some of the job level variables, and we don't want to override within the script.

Henrik,

Can I achieve a similar functionality by kicking off a job/task from another job using the Job/Task Control task type?

Then can I set different values for the variables at the job control task level and another set of values for the same variables at the job level?

E.g.

Job A (set values for a set of variables)
Job/Task Control Task (pointing to Job B and Task B1) (set different values for the same set of variables)

Can I do this?

Thanks.
