Last night we had one of our servers slow down due to the amount of memory being used by processes. When I logged into the box and looked at task manager I saw VCTray for one user at 2GB of memory and another instance of VCTray for another user using another 2GB of memory. This 4GB total was enough to take 75% of the memory on the server. By force closing both VCTray applications the server recovered back to normal operation.
My question is 2 fold:
Why is VCTray using so much memory? and how can we prevent it from doing so?
