Hi,

when converting an Excel workbook to a CSV, the task will fail with the error:
Exception in Task: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
This will happen when the Excel sheet contains the value '=-Demo data'.
In Excel this shows as #NAME?
When doing the conversion in Excel, the CSV will aso contain #NAME?

Can this be checked?

Thanks,
Tjomme Vergauwen

Sorry for the late reply. It crashes in a component that we use. The bug is confirmed by the vendor and we are waiting for them to release a fix. It is not clear when the fix will be available but hopefully soon.

Hi,
any idea on a fix date? Or is this already fixed in 8.0.4?
Thanks,

Hi,
currently our new server test license has expired. I'm waiting for the purchase of the actual license before I can test this.

Hi team,
we are getting the same issue on VC 7.6.6 and 8.1.1 - In both versions when we want to convert the Excel file to CSV (task 'Excel - Convert'), we get the following error:

VC 7.6.6:
Exception in Task: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Infragistics.Documents.Core.WorkItem.ExceptionInfo..ctor(Exception e)
at Infragistics.Documents.Core.WorkItem.Execute(WorkItemScheduler scheduler)
at Infragistics.Documents.Core.WorkItemScheduler.SynchronousImpl.Execute(WorkItem workItem)
at Infragistics.Documents.Core.WorkItemExtensions.GetResult[TResult](WorkItem`1 this)
at Infragistics.Documents.Excel.Workbook.Load(Stream stream, WorkbookLoadOptions loadOptions)
at OBOKIIHBDBPMCFALPGECCIFHCDJPEDKODDGK.GHDAIBFMJELENALJNOANJFKJLDIEGNJDOPEK.Run() in C:\sourcefiles\code\VisualCronService\Jobs\TaskProcesses\Office\Excel\clsProcessTaskExcelConvert.vb:line 35

VC 8.1.1:
Exception in Task: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

However on VC 8.2.5 it seems to be working. Is the only solution to upgrade to the latest version or is there any way to get it working on 8.1.1?

Thank you in advance,
