Great new Grouping feature in the new version - makes management MUCH easier.

I would like to know if there is a way in VC to send an alert (email) when something that was expected to happen (i.e. arrival of a file by a certain time) did not happen?

You can create a check at a certan time and look if a file is there with a condition. If it is there you can exit the job, if not continue with the next task and that can be an email task emailing you that the file is not there.
