Please add Telnet support for VisualCron.

If anyone know of a current way to send commands to a telnet session using current Visualcron technology I'd appreciate some tips.

Thanks guys Enterprise VC rocks.

Hi,

the question is what level of Telnet support you need.

1. Are you a programmer yourself or do you have access to in-house programmers?
2. If you look at this this component, what features do you see that is important/vital to you? http://www.dart.com/pttelnet.aspx

Henrik,

I am not a programmer nor do we have one in-house. Looking at the link the most important features are:

Scripting made easy with blocking Login and WaitFor methods
Automatic negotiation of common telnet options

Nothing fancy, just the ability to send TELNET commands in VC would help us so much. Thanks!

We TELNET to a Cache' database to automate scheduled tasks. Currently, we are using AUTOIT to launch a CMD session and send commands to pull data. The manual process uses an application called Reflections for UNIX by WRQ software.

Another feature from that link that we would need will be Telnet, Rlogin, Rexec and Rsh components .
