I'm just wondering if I am able to upgrade my client to 8.5.5 so I can view 8.5.5 test server instances while prepping for upgrading. Will I have any issues connecting to our 8.3.5 production servers with the 8.5.5 client until I get everything tested and upgraded to 8.5.5?

Thanks,
Gary

There should not be any issues doing this no. 8.5.5 client should be able to connect to 8.3.5 servers.

Alas, I spoke too soon. Using the 8.5.5 client against the 8.3.5 server and trying to add a list files task as always causes this error:

It works ok if I connect to an 8.5.5 server, or go to the server and run the 8.3.5 client. I guess I'll just go ahead and upgrade.

That is unfortunate, but thanks for following up on it so we know. Most things, nearly all, should work fine, but it's hard to have everything work flawlessly when using an older client towards a newer server when the server version difference isn't that big, but in this case, the outcome is unfortunate and we simply have to accept defeat on that one.
