Since I got response here http://www.visualcron.co...aspx?g=posts&m=11378 , I thought I might need to start a new post as the issue is different.

The Credential options are not saving on machine restart. I restarted 4 servers last night (2 physical and 2 VM's, Windows 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008), and all 4 lost the Local Login and Load Profile settings for the Credentials.

So, you are saying that you do the following:

1. edit a Credential and check Local login and Load profile
2. restart computer
3. now, these are unchecked when opening the Client again?

1. Where is (physical path) VisualCron installed?
2. Is it x64 or x86 system?
3. Please attach your settings.xml file or send it to support@visualcron.com

2. Both, Server 2003 (x86) and Server 2008 (x64)
3. Sending the file now.

We are experiencing this exact same issue. Was there are resolution to this? We are running a Virtual Windows server 2008 R2 x64 VCRON V6.2.2

Thanks Tony

The issue only occurred for us temporarily, and then disappeared.

Is there a reason you are still on version 6?

We are still on 6 because we have not scheduled a roll out to the latest version in production. It is planned for the next quarter. We only schedule upgrades/updates if we know it is going to solve a problem.

2/17/2014 4:22:18 PM Debug Starting up
2/17/2014 4:22:23 PM Debug Loading settings
2/17/2014 4:22:23 PM Debug Preparing SqlCe files (x64) from base folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\VisualCron\x64\sqlce
2/17/2014 4:22:28 PM Debug Prepare interaction
2/17/2014 4:22:28 PM Debug Is Vista or higher: True
2/17/2014 4:22:30 PM Debug Credential provider was already installed.
2/17/2014 4:22:30 PM Debug Credential provider failed: ControlAltDeleteDisabled is false. Need to be set to true.
2/17/2014 4:22:30 PM Debug Prepare XML writer settings

While reviewing the Server_startup log I came across this. I wonder if the above is part of the problem?
Unfortunately not a VisualCron expert here.

Thanks

That error is not related and does not cause this. Two important things:

1. is local connection working (on the server) and add/edit Credentials?
2. which install folder do you use? Please attach a screenshot of Client->Server tab->Settings->Folders

Hi Henrik,

I have attached what you requested and also an image of the account that gets reset. It is a domain account that is required because the processes need to interact with our SQL server.

So, you mean if you check Logon login and load profile it does not save it right away or do you mean it gets reset later?

Hi Henrik,

Those settings for that account are set to FALSE. if the server gets rebooted they change to TRUE and have to be set back to FALSE manually in order for everything to work again. I don't know why the settings are not persistent through a reboot.

Thanks

Most likely, if that happens there is some kind of permission set on the folder. This means that the Server will keep information in memory but cannot persist settings to file.
