It would be really nice if I could right click and select "Show history" as a shortcut to the "Historic - Job" tab of the Log. (Or, the "Historic - Task" tab of the log depending on context.)

It'd also be nice if those tabs defaulted to more than just a day. My preference would be a month since most of my jobs are daily. Perhaps you could add a setting (Settings / Log Settings / Log window would be a good place to put it), or the program could "remember" how many days I used last time and default to that starting with today's date?

Thanks!

Hi,

I am not sure what you mean. There is a right click button in the main window.

Also, number of days back are controlled in Server settings->Log->Database.

Hi Henrik,

What I would like is an option added to the menu that pops up when you right click. The new option would be "Show history". You could put it right after "Show statistics" rather nicely. When the user clicks on "Show history", it would bring up the Log with the "Historic - Job" tab on top and the name of the job that you right clicked on selected. Ideally, the date range would have more than one day selected (based on a preference setting?). The list would already be populated based on the job and date range, as if the user clicked on the "Get" button. If I get a chance, I'll put together some mock screen shots later today.

Settings->Log Settings->Database settings does not affect the date range that is selected by default when you open the log's history tabs. What I would like is for the log's history tabs to be defaulted to a date range greater than just today.

Ok, I see what you mean. The reason why we not do any other day is because of performance. If start is with the current day it guarantees a fast load and startup of window.

That's understandable, but I think it'd be better if you let the user decide. That's why I think a setting would be nice so that different users could have a different default based on their usage. Someone that has jobs that run every 5 minutes is probably quite happy with the current default of one day. Almost all my jobs are daily.
