MANAGE CONNECTIONS - MICROSOFT AZURE
I'm trying to setup a basic connection to an Azure datalake. I have very little experience working with Azure and I don't understand the terminology too much. What I have is a Powershell Script I was provided in order to move files to and from the datalake. Inside that Powershell script, I have a TenantID, SPI_AppID, SPI_Secret, AccName.

I was hoping to get it setup in Visualcron so that I can use the built in cloud features rather than relying on the Powershell script. However, I'm not sure how to even setup the Azure Connection. It seems simple enough, but I have not been able to get it to work.

On the Manage Connections screen, there is a Connection Name, Timeout, Authentication Type (I'm using Password), Account Name, and Account Key. I assumed based on the info I have above is the Account Name = AccName and SPI_Secret = Account Key, but that did not work. I have read through the VC Documentation on this topic, but the information there is fairly limited.

The error I am getting is "The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found".

I admit that I do know know what all of these "Keys" mean in the world of Azure. I'm hoping this is a simple issue where someone can quickly set me on the right path.

I do not think we support any "Data Lake" features. What do you want to do exactly and how do you do it today (without VC)?

I am looking specifically at the Task Types under Cloud Transfer in Visualcron. That would include:

• Upload Files
  
• List Items
  
• Download Files
  
• Create Folder
  
• Delete Items

Currently, we have a Powershell Script that performs these functions for us. Powershell will work for us, but it would be a cleaner solution if we can use the built-in Visualcron functionality.

In order to use the Cloud Transfer functions, we have to setup an Azure connection. That is the part that I am having trouble setting up.

In the Manage Connections in Visualcron, you can Add a protocol for Windows Azure. When you add that connection type, it will as for a Name, and Account Name, and an Account Key. I've tried adding my Account Name and Account Key, but it gives me an error "No Such Host Is Known".

No Such Host Is Known
This means that the storage account name is wrong.
