We have updated from 7.1.2 up to 7.1.7

I have following Issue .

After Restart all Notifications are gone. Always .

I have this Issue since 7.1.2 , but i dont mind about this so far, because I have to reboot once or twice a month. I reimported them and all works well.

But now it`s Time to get a solution.

Only the Notifications are gone after restart, everything else is ok.

Things I ve tried :

Complete deinstallation of VC and deleted all Installation Files .

Ok, so the problem is this line:

Is this file existing now? The file name should be: TaskNotifications.xml

No, there is no TaskNotifications.xml present.

Neither in the VC Settings nor in entire VC Installation Folder .


Edit : There is an Notifications.xml in the Backup zip

But also haven`t found this Filename after Import.

What if you create a new Notification - is that file created?

Notifications.xml is the old format from version 6. This is true if the file is resided in the settings folder. In the backup file it will be called "Notifications.xml" regardless of version. When saved and as working file it will be called "TaskNotifications.xml".

I did notice one thing do. If you import a backup it does not save the "TaskNotifications.xml" until you add/alter/delete something from Notifications. This is a bug and will be fixed in the next version.

Ok it seems to be solved.

After editing an existing Notification he created an TaskNotification.xml

And they are still existing after reboot .

I think it might be related to "Import settings". If shut down in a bad way the file will never be saved and VisualCron will not have any file to load. We will fix that for next build.

But please try to reboot now when the file is in place.
