Hi

We had to roll back immediately to 8.2.1 because of this bug. Hopefully you will be able to replicate it based on this info:

1) Create a task that return False to output

2) In the next task, create a task with this condition:

Condition.PNG

and this action:

Action.PNG

3) Add some random task as step 3, eg a popup task

In version 8.2.1, False from task 1, results in Task2 being skipped , and the Job continues with Task 3
In version 8.2.2, False from task 1, results in Task2 being skipped, and the job stops.

I have upgraded to 8.2.2 today and I am wondering how my results are similar or related to yours. I have a tasks in a job where there are conditions. If those conditions are not met, it supposed to go to "NEXT".

It appears the condition set is not honoring the "NEXT" action and will silently fail. I've turned on extended debugging but now I need to go investigate how to obtain those results as nothing happens in the output to reflect the condition set (which I would have expected, but not that familiar with that portion of the product).

So, I threw in a couple wait tasks after each task that had a condition. If it did not meet the condition, instead of throwing it to "NEXT" i went ahead and threw it to the wait tasks specifically (which are next in the order, but since its not working thats my dirty work-around).

Basically, the conditions are fubar from my perspective. I have many other jobs with condition sets so I may have to revert back to 8.2.1 as well...

I double and triple checked my logic to see how I did something wrong that just showed up in 8.2.2 but not seeing it.

Rolled back to 8.2.1, not an issue anymore. Conditions work as designed.

Thanks for the confirmation. Bugs that silently change the logic of programs, are really nasty. They should not have passed proper unit tests..

We have now released a rebuild of that version. Please re-download and re-install. Thanks for the report!

It was not actually a bug in Conditions but in a lower level - so no behavior has changed there.

When I download the latest version, it says 8.2.2 on the website. When I start the installer, it says that version 8.2.3 is being installed. Is this intended?

Please re-download and re-install. Must be some kind of cache issue. Thanks for the feedback!

Because of this issue and a related issue that we also fixed (after you downloaded) we decided to release 8.2.3 with all combined fixes. Just to make sure that everyone is running the same latest version. So, if you have downloaded 8.2.2 we recommend downloading and installing 8.2.3.

Thank you again!
