Is there a way to export the entire Job and Task grid to allow for documentation of what the task are doing?

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure of what you mean by your question. Can you elaborate a little bit on what you're wanting to do?

I would like to export the contents of the Visual Cron Client Grid so that i can create Documentation on what each Job and task does.

I agree - an exportable csv would be great if it showed
Job Name, Conditions, Time exceptions, Triggers, Task names and Flow (tasks and job)

There is currently no way of doing this. But I've moved your topic to Feature requests instead.

How exactly would you expect conditions, time exceptions, triggers, task names, and flow (all of which there can be more than one of per job) to appear in a csv format?

You can get all that from the API, as far as I know. Making it tabular is more challenging...not because it can't be done, but because it isn't clear how you'd want to display (for example) a job with two conditions, three time exceptions, two triggers, four tasks with 0-3 conditions and 0-2 flows each, and four flows on the job itself. And I'd think adding a feature for doing this without using the API would face the same challenge.

I would like to do it by each job that way I can create a document for my team if there is any trouble that way they can find the information and track it down.

You can do it through it the JOBS.XML but it is a lot of work

We also would like a way to export the job/task grid to excel or delimited. You can use the existing view to decide which values are exported or present the user with job/task values to choose.

We are doing a large upgrade migration and tracking alot of jobs/tasks requires external documentation, and there is no way to get this info out of visualcron currently.

technically you could save off a copy of the jobs.xml file (in the settings folder) and use Excel to parse out what you want.

I would also like this feature.
