I'm not sure if this possible so I thought I would post a message. We would like to implement something that would monitor jobs and send an email if it takes longer than, say, 4 hours. Unfortunately all I see is the "Use Timeout" option (see attached picture) which kills the job.

Is there a way to trigger an email if a job running on the server takes longer than a certain amount of time without stopping/killing it?

Not sure if you found an answer but in the newest version (8.4.2) and I am sure earlier. There is an Job Flow, Job Condition of "On running longer than" that would provide the ability to send a notification out after the timeout is reached.
