AWAITING CUSTOMER FEEDBACK ON BELOW:

This topic is partly related to load balancing functionality discussed here: http://www.visualcron.co...p;t=5443&find=unread

The purpose of Server performance and charts is to give the end user real time and historic view of how the VisualCron Server is performing. We are initially thinking about monitoring the following:

- CPU usage by VisualCron
- CPU usage by the Windows server
- Job/Task execution count per hour/minute
- Job failures per hour/minute
- your suggestions?

This informaton will be presented in tables and charts in realtime and historic view.

For us we already use other tools for CPU/disk space monitoring which would include monitoring the Visual Cron service itself.

What might be useful is the ability to see things like
- Longest running jobs
- Jobs with most failures (absolute)
- Jobs with most failures as a percentage of runs

I think you've got the essentials covered 🙂.
One other thing I can think of is the avg time / job execution. This maybe says something about the performance (and not capacity) of the server.
But to be honest, I would keep it simple to start with. For the purpose of load-balancing I would mainly look at total CPU usage of a server. Do some kind of round-robin mechanism, and run jobs on the server with the last load.
